For calculation purposes, an approximate formula for the annual premium for own damage insurance is used. To this annual premium is added a civil liability insurance of €200. These results are based on simulations performed by insurers that offer these products.

#1 – Rolls-Royce Phantom EWB

According to calculations by ComparaJá.pt, this Rolls-Royce model occupies the “cup” of the most expensive car insurance. The average cost of this car is just €11,551 for car insurance.

This is not surprising, as the British brand is known for making luxury cars with high standards of comfort and quality – so much so that several heads of state have chosen the car as a means of transport. The price of this specific model in Portugal could be around 560,000 euros.

#2 – Rolls-Royce Drophead Coupé

Rolls-Royce still has a spot on our list, this time with the Drophead Coupé model. Anyone who wants to “take it home” must be prepared to pay an annual car insurance premium in the order of 10,997 euros.

This convertible model, also from the Phantom series, is inspired by the J-Class racing yacht, making it one of Rolls-Royce’s rarest models, complementing the car’s high value. The model costs around 540,000 euros.

#3 – Bentley Mulsanne Extended WheelBase

 

Continuing on the path to more expensive car insurance, we have a car from another UK company at number three. The Bentley Mulsanne’s extended wheelbase will not let “reputation” fall into the hands of others. In terms of performance, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds.

But, of course, car insurance for a car of this class doesn’t come cheap. The owner of this car can expect to pay around €9,593 a year. The value of the vehicle is also quite high. To get it, you can expect to spend almost 470,000 euros.

#4 – Porsche 911 Carrera Sport Classic

 

The German brand is also known for its luxury sports cars. Again, it was a limited edition “Bolide” (only a few hundred were produced). This makes it one of the most expensive cars in Portugal.

Anyone who wants to buy this German-made car has to be prepared to pay around 395,000 euros. And car insurance? Around 8,100 euros per year.

Is there anyone – even if they’re not a car expert – who doesn’t know Ferrari? The Italian brand conquered its space by manufacturing one of the best luxury cars on the market. The Ferrari 458 Speciale Spider lives up to its name. It is a car for those who cannot pass without stepping on the accelerator. It does 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds.

In terms of final cost, it could be around 370,000 euros, while in terms of car insurance, the owner may have to pay around 7,600 euros per year.
